Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther has seen great success since its release on February 16, 2018. The movie is currently in the top five biggest domestic grosser of all time. We asked Tallahassee Community College Students what the success of ‘Black Panther’ meant to them.

1st year at TCC

Having that sense of self-identity, it gave me more of a sense of purpose and as well as a more of an understanding who I am and how to navigate the world around me.

I haven’t personally seen the Black Panther movie, but to me since it’s so popular it gives children a new role model to look up to and it just shows how we are growing as a nation and becoming more open to new ideas.

We have something as a community. Something positive verses the negative sigma that’s usually portray and different roles over the years. I think the success of it just gives us something else to be proud of.
